I did not like this book as much as I've liked Heather Killough-Walden's past books. The story just didn't have much depth, and there were odd errors more typically found in self-pubs, but not normally in HKW's. The word Akyri showed up in one spot when it should have been Anime, the heroine was called miss Ashdown (twice) instead of Miss Ashdown (note the proper capitalization), and a supposed 6 yr-old child turned into a 16 yr-old teenager with 2 pages. Neglible details, perhaps, but I'm used to better from this author. It was a bit disappointing.The story was fairly short, and took place in approximately one day (depending on time manipulation by the hero, I guess), which isn't really a problem, but it just felt very abbreviated.

I have a book addiction that began with Nancy Drew in kindergarten. I've read pretty much all genres, to exclude non-fiction because I love to read for the escapism. I only review books that I feel strongly about, whether for good or bad. I think of truthful, honest, reviews as being there as a 'pay-it-forward' for others.
